Sadhana Sabbatical: a two week immersion into your spiritual heart

this one is for the seekers...

The one who stepped through

the initiation of the PORTAL

of the spiritual life years ago.

The one who has done the 'training'

whose life curriculum isn't calling

for more wisdom of the mind

But rather, a journey with depth

into the soul.

To take days in Sabbatical of the Spirit.

This is for the one who holds.

Whose life is at a tipping point of transformation

Who needs the space and time to be

with the wisdom of the forest, of the mountains

of the mighty lake

To be held in the cacoon

of a skilled guide

And in the loving, intentional care

of a conscious community rooted in

Reverence + cultural Reciprocity.

This is for the one who isn't seeking an

itinerary of to dos

But rather a safe, mature, rooted space

of cultivating wisdom from the inside.

A Sadhana Sabbatical.

Your practice has depth.

Your heart has maturity.

Your role in life bears the crown of leadership + responsibility.

And, your soul craves a Sabbatical

to renew, re-gain perspective, to clean your heart.

And to be amongst others whose spiritual quest

is ripe.

And you just desire a devoted space

to taste its sweetness.

Our Shared Values

Reverence

We ask that each participant that enters the Forest reflect on the reality that they are entering a whole new ecosystem that might feel foreign to them. We have a hard working, indigenous Maya team that is dedicated to giving you the best experience possible, while also tending to their families and dealing with the unique complexities that come with living in a developing country. Please show your utmost gratitude to them for putting their heart and soul into the service they provide, and be sensitive to the requests that you make.

We ask that you be humbly curious, accepting and espectful of the culture unto which you are a guest, including the aspects that might challenge your comfort zones. We lovingly suggest utilizing the mindfulness practices of deep listening and witnessing as the ideal tools to learn how to navigate and interact with our workers and the people of Guatemala.

Relationship

We want you to be aware of the sacredness of the land that you tread. The land of the Forest has been guardianed and tended to by the Maya people for over 30k years. It is the ancient power of this reciprocal relationship, of mutual care and of holy benevolence which permeates and graciously holds you in your healing and transformation.

We therefore encourage you to give back in all the ways that you can, whether it’s a physical offering to the land, a song, a prayer, or anything that brings you into direct relationship with the grounding beauty that it provides. We ask that you reduce your footprint with eco-friendly products and leave spaces even cleaner and brighter than when you first entered.

We are also interested in developing relationships with YOU, and we want our connection to be long-lasting and have our gathering space be somewhere that you continue to come back to.

Reciprocity

The Forest thrives on reciprocity of energy and connection. We hope that there is a reciprocal relationship between what the land, the culture and the people can provide for you and your group, and what you can also give back to them.

We hope that you feel the generosity of our staff and this space and that you are able to reciprocate through sincere words, financial support via your partcipation in this training, physical offerings, or simply with a heartfelt smile. We ask that you take the time to slow down and feel the impact that you have on the Forest and the impact that your time at the Forest has on you and your group.

“You simply can’t go wrong with any of SoulWork’s offerings, they’re so nourishing to the soul. I have been searching for an authentic meditation program for awhile. Something that’s from a lineage that has roots which is actually more rare than you would assume. This was it! I feel confident and proud about sharing this medicine with others.”

- Dusah

“This training experience is transformational to my practice. If all my trainings, this has been the most direct line to my heart. I feel lighter than I ever have, I feel more joy than I ever have and I feel more connected than I ever have. Bliss abounds!”

— Bea

“I have participated in several training with Soulwork and I loved them all. This course very very grounded and the knowledge was transmitted in a beautiful, loving and super clear way that was easy to understand and practice. The portion on how to teach these techniques to others was really well structured, clear and concise but also very complete  and easy to understand. I will most certainly do another course with Soulwork.”

— Piroska

“I feel very fortunate to have an expanding awareness of breathwork and meditation. This certification course has taught me so much about my body and how the breath can lead us even deeper into meditation. My Soul is so ready to share these teachings with others. I honor those who have brought forth these teachings to the west. I'm filled with air, and gratitude 💞 I highly recommend this training for all who are passionate about growing their knowledge in pranayam and exploring the endless benefits of the breath & meditation!”

— Viviana

COMMUNITY. ACCOUNTABILITY. SISTERHOOD.

Our human condition can be very challenging. As caregivers especially - finding our voice, our power, our courage - can be a confusing dance between heartbreak and healing.

The more we get into this work, the more we see the “stories” repeat themselves. We all have similar pains, struggles, fears, doubts, so we do the work of the soul to share our internal dialogue and come together in a sacred brotherhood to share the truth enshrined in our hearts.

This, is what we strive to offer. An opportunity for seekers to come together and be heard, seen and felt, and then have the courage to break the chains of old and limiting ideas or ways of being. Awakening to a new confidence, a new power, a new clarity in our role in healing our families and our world.
