Soulful Seva in Guatemala:

a journey with Adi Shakti

March 2 - 9, 2025

A very personal letter from our Founder, Adi Shakti.

In 2012, I embarked on a life-changing voyage to Guatemala, and my heart was forever captured by its beauty, its people, and its spirit. That initial trip marked the humble beginnings of a profound journey - a journey that has taken me back time and again, each visit enriching my life and transforming my soul.

My first visit was a milestone in my career, and during that trip, I had the privilege of delivering my very first public speech in Spanish.

We were celebrating our group's accomplishment - the funding of a new school at the foothills of a majestic volcano. The entire experience felt like a surreal dream, and I woke up to my path and my life had taken a purposeful turn toward what would become SoulWork™.

Over the years, my connection with Guatemala deepened, blossoming into vivid chapters of beautiful memories - shaping my path of service, spiritual growth, overcoming challenges, and professional maturity.

Now, as I offer this part of my heart to all of you - it's a dream come true.

Back in 2012, with the unwavering support and guidance of the Village Cooperative, I was able to secure vital funding for a school that I have yet to see.

I am thrilled to walk into this experience with a wiser heart, and I am ready to embrace the profound beauty of Guatemala after years of absence.

I am so honored to be gifted with the opportunity to walk with you all - a new wave of SoulWork leaders and to introduce you to the communities + projects.

Together, we will create memories of purpose, unity, and embodied leadership.

If you feel called, I would love to have you join me on this voyage of a lifetime.

Your heart will be touched.

Your soul will be nourished.

And, your life will be forever changed.

Guatemala awaits, and with it, the opportunity to awaken your spirit and be part of something truly extraordinary.

Thank you for bearing witness to my walk and for being a part of MY story of Actualization.

This stunning body of water is often considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, and it captivates visitors with its pristine beauty and dramatic surroundings.

Surrounded by towering volcanoes, Lake Atitlan is set in a vast volcanic crater, creating a truly dramatic and picturesque landscape. The crystal-clear waters of the lake shimmer in shades of deep blue and turquoise, reflecting the ever-changing colors of the sky and the lush greenery that blankets the surrounding hillsides. The three majestic volcanoes that encircle the lake—San Pedro, Atitlan, and Toliman—add to the grandeur of the scene, rising dramatically from the water's edge. Day 7

Today, we make our way back to Guatemala City. But first, we explore the intriguing ruins of Iximche. Stepping onto the ancient grounds, you'll be instantly transported back in time to the heart of the Mayan civilization. The echoes of the past seem to whisper in the wind as you stroll through the ruins, a testament to the greatness of a once-thriving civilization.

Iximche, an ancient Mayan archaeological site, holds profound cultural and historical significance in the highlands of Guatemala. Founded around 1470, it was the capital of the Kaqchikel Mayans, a prominent indigenous group in the region, before being abandoned and ultimately destroyed during the Spanish conquest.

The site's cultural importance lies in its connection to the Mayan civilization, where rituals, ceremonies, and governance played out against the backdrop of its stone temples and plazas. Iximche served as the political and religious center for the Kaqchikel people, where they paid homage to their deities, conducted sacred ceremonies, and made important decisions regarding their society. The ruins offer a glimpse into the religious practices and political structures that defined their way of life.

Today, Iximche stands as an archaeological and cultural treasure, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the remnants of Mayan civilization and its interaction with European colonial forces. The site's pyramids, ball courts, and plazas are testaments to the enduring legacy of the Mayan people, and a visit to Iximche provides a profound connection to Guatemala's rich history and the resilience of its indigenous cultures.

The evening in Guatemala City is a celebration of your journey, where we will enjoy our final dinner together.

Tonight is the finale to an unforgettable adventure.
